Is this what it looks like and can you tell me what the meaning is??
Unsu...Thu, December 18, 2008 - 12:26 AMIts two sextiles, two trines, and two oppositions.....
Example.... Aquarius, Leo, Gemini, Sagittarius planets all in aspect.
The Aquarius-Leo, Gemini-Sagittarius are the two oppositions
Aquarius-Gemini, Leo-Sagittarius are the two trines
Aquarius-Sagittarius, Gemini-Leo are the two sextiles
Rectangle. Often called a 'mystic rectangle', there is nothing specifically mystical about it. Here, two opposition aspects are woven together with two trine and two sextile aspects. This can make for a time of enormous questions, yet it also brings potential solutions and openings which arise either by default or by apparent good luck. The flowing aspects take much of the tension out of the opposition aspects. There is much to work out, but it looks as if great things are possible. Abilities and assets search for a cause to be engaged in. Dilemmas can have difficulty being resolved in the usual ways, but they seem to work themselves out anyway in other ways. Letting go is the main way through: the state of mind is often the obstacle, when in fact there is an open road ahead. Here there can be exceptional skills which overcome immense obstacles, through synthesising apparently different elements into an original and appropriate package. The rectangle brings marked results.
An Octile Rectangle is also possible, linking two oppositions with two sesqui and two semisquare aspects. There is a great work to be carried out here, but it can involve immense focused effort for a short time: there is a secret which needs cracking, and the breakthrough is then brought about through a summoning and concentration of energy into the moment, giving a superhuman challenge with potentially great results. Other rectangles can be formed too, for example with quincunx/semisextile or minor aspects linking up the two key opposition aspects – a grand cross is related to this configuration too.
***The important thing here is that the oppositions generate the energy while the linking aspects release it. The oppositions need focusing and integrating, and the linking aspects demonstrate the talents and assets available for doing so.***
Thu, December 18, 2008 - 12:56 AMHi Jessy,
Your daughter has a chart very similar to my own!
I also have a mystic rectangle - between Pluto, Neptune, Venus and Mars
I thinkt he main differences between them has to be that your daughter has much more earth and no water, where I have no fire (barely).
However we both have the
Sun, Mars, Mercury in the 8th House,
Pluto in the 12th House,
Moon in the 4th House,
Neptune and Uranus in the 2nd House
(7 planets in the same houses)
It's quite odd to see someone's chart so similar to my own. Spooky
Thu, December 18, 2008 - 5:42 AMThank you Allan : ) ..it isstrange that you picked the exact ones she has...
questions . the fact that it is composed of two fire and two air signs is that the point of opposition?
trying to understand this better... : thank you so much!
Hi Paul : ) wow! I cant believe your chart is so similar to my baby girl.
strange question but how has your chart affected your life thus far? -especially all the planets in the 8th house and what is your age (if you dont mind)?
In her chart I kind of saw two grand trines( is this the name? ) in ..air and fire( not sure)
I saw something that looked likea Quintile or a Sextile ( but onepoint doesnt completely meet)
what are the effects of having no water.. thats scary to me..
we are both emotional ..not good at dealing with them..I have very little water that I know of.
It looks as if I have two trines also and what looks like a kite...
It seems that whe you lack or have very little of one element it becomes a challenged area...dont know. just my opinion
thank you : ) !
this is all great info!
this is one of my reference guide
Thu, December 18, 2008 - 6:02 AMhad to look at your chart one more time : ) Gosh it has so much going on like my daughter's chart..
looks like a T suare in yours...
someone wrote this to you ..it was funny
thats how i feel about my gem sun and my lovely virgo moon : )
>Gemini with Scorpio ascendant... 0_0 Wow. That's like watching a half fish blending with a half zebra... in a positive sense of course. LOL<
Thu, December 18, 2008 - 7:02 AM"Gosh it has so much going on like my daughter's chart..
looks like a T suare in yours... "
Nope no T-Squares in mine. Where did you think you saw it?
"It looks as if I have two trines also and what looks like a kite... "
Yup you do! The Kite is to a tight Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in the Tenth House- ...and is opposed by 4th House Saturn.
Jupiter and Neptune are the planets which rule Pisces and Pisces rules your 2nd House. Perhaps money/career is Pisces-Like for you?
Also with the Moon square Sun and this configuration (Kite) occuring in the 10th House opposing your Saturn in the 4th, also where the Sun is, I would wonder about the relationship you had with your parents. This might suggest that one of your parents wasn't around either emotinoally or physically.
Thu, December 18, 2008 - 9:12 AMok I thoughtthe t square was the one on the right side that connects the asc ,MC and maybe the sign after aries..
Im still learning so plz b patient : ) if Im wrong...
oh wow so I do have kite...and yes the trine..
well pisces in career and money .hhhmmmmmm Id have to look that up..
I am intuitive and sensetive to others vibrations...
I currently volunteer at an vocational rehab for HIV clients...
money is a issue fr me ..I think Ive placed such little value to it that it slips through my fingers..learning hw to balance that.
My dad worked 2 jobs ..wasnt around much ..when he was he was drunk and ugly tings happened..
my mom i a bit on the cold side emotionally ( no hugs and kisses)but friendly socially( talkative , hospitable)
thats that for that : )
sorry bout the wipe out.. thats tribe..
I have learned to copy first then press submit all the time now ..Iv lost plenty of long stuff.
Thu, December 18, 2008 - 6:55 AMaaaaaaaaaaggggh I don['t believe it, I just typed in a really long 'essay' as a response and then clicked submit and it just wiped my message.
I can't believe it.
Can't be bothered typing it all in again so I'll summarise:
Our charts are similar only in terms of planets in houses, not planets in signs. Generally Houses are the Where, Planets the What and Signs the How. Therefore we could expect our life sitations and experiences (Where and What) to be similar but we deal with them quite different (the How, Signs). (I am 23 to answer your question)
"In her chart I kind of saw two grand trines( is this the name? ) in ..air and fire( not sure) "
She has a Grand Trine (that is the name) in Fire - Moon in Aries, Pluto in Sag, Mars in Leo. And also a grand trine in Air with (Mc in Libra, Neptune in Aquarius, Jupiter in Gemini). Because (like in my chart) the second uses the MC as a point it is less relevant than the first which uses planets and has more personal planets. Two Grand Trines like this make up a Grand Sextile which Alan's link has more info about. Basically it involves 6Trines, 6 Sextiles, 6 Kites and obviously two Grand Trines and sometimes a mystic Rectangle but not in your daughter's case. Because of that I think it is a VERY hard aspect to understand. I haven't quite gotten it all worked out for my chart yet.
About Elements. My chart is all Water and Air with a bit of earth and lack of fire. Your your daughter's chart is all Fire and Earth with a bit of Air and no Water. So there is a big difference between out modal balances. We both have only one cardinal sign (a singleton) and hers is more prominant in that it is a personal planet and is also conjunct her IC and also part of her grand trine - namely, the Moon in Aries. The moon of course being YOU. No Pressure then! Also the moon in Aries is 'number one' either literally or not. Is she an only child or the eldest child? It is likely that she will strive for the attention, especially being in the 3rd House of siblings.
Your own chart has a lack of Fire and Water, you are mostly Air and Earth. I do not know how this is going to work out with her and you. Neither of you has any Water!
A lack of element came up in another tribe/post somewhere. I'll say now what I said then.
"It seems that whe you lack or have very little of one element it becomes a challenged area...dont know. just my opinion "
Not necessarily. It is more that we're not pinned down to our chart with that element. It's a bit of a loose cannon in our charts and we may find ourselves underexpressing that element or OVER expressing that element. I know many (well a few) no earth people who could not be more money-focused and body oriented. One is a police officer which I think is VERY earth. Bill Gates has no earth and he's incredibly rich. You just don't know. It's like there's a vacuum from the lack of element that you get sucked into, or that we over-compensate for that element by over-doing it.
With no Water it could be that you are OVERLY emotional at times and appear emotionless at other times. YOu might take a 'stop crying about it' attitude and not shed a tear at a funeral, but ball your eyes out when Bambi dies. It's like we express the element different to what we're expected to.
I wish I could go on, but I wrote LOADS and Tribe just lost it in the ether, so I can't spur myself to type it all again!
I'll type more later.
In the mean time could someone else with more experience check out our charts and offer their opinion? What does this mean? How might we be similar and how might we be different?
Thu, December 18, 2008 - 9:31 AMok so the difference being different planets in the houses and such ..got it!
Ill read about the grand sextile... thanks : )
and yes I can feel the tension betwee us in havin no water and the fact that shes fire Im air and we both have earth
Shes 8 but we either get along fantastic or we clash but its over quickly and there is close bond and love for eachother despitethe differences ..
and trust me we both see this and point them out..
as long as we communicate it should be fine ..not always pleasant but fine : )
sure it will be worse when shes a teenager..yippers! : ( : P

geeeeeeeez ca this be any more true -er than it is..
this is both of us again..black or white.. up or down ...this or that ..hardly no middle ground when it comes to emotons..hate that and working on it through meditations.. I include herin tat too... shell need it.
and yes thanks for reminding me that Im her Aries Moon ...Ach I feel so horrible.
I am a single parent
yes she is the only child and takes on alot of responsibility for her age..
she does need lots of attention..
in which It is limited because I work , back in school FT, volunteer and barely home for the last three year and one more left : (
Id like to see the comaprision in both your charts ..interesting

Thu, December 18, 2008 - 9:46 AMsad but true .. I think Ive raised gentle a warrior...but Im working on being more tender
I adore my kid ..shes smart, outgoing, loving and dynamic..
only thing is that with all fire ..leo sun , aries moon and sag asc. she spit sfire. with her mouth
have been teaching her to be more tactful... I am very honest but diplomatic contrary to what this says..
she loves people, loathes boredom, has to be first and has the biggest heart ever : ).. very kind and loyal..
a short clip....
THE MOON THROUGH THE SIGNS
Your mother may have valued freedom and independence above all else. She had an aggressive and quick mind, as well as a quick temper. Probably resentful of the restrictions imposed by child rearing duties, she pushed you into early self-sufficiency and independence. She may have been a career woman, frustrated at having given up her independence to get married, and wishing she had stayed single and in the work force. There is usually a lot of open hostility between the parents, causing the child to become imprinted with aggressive behaviour patterns. The home may in fact be a battleground, and the child has no choice but to be a warrior. Mother probably took honesty to the point of brutally frank, and unfortunately you copy the maternal role model only too well. While aggressiveness and quick temper are part and parcel of this Moon sign, a more important one may be the need for independence. You may like the company of like minded companions, but have a disconcerting lack of need for people. You are your own best friend, and are not afraid to swim against the tide of humanity. Because of this, you have a true pioneering spirit, with an almost total disregard for other peoples' opinions. Your father encouraged you to be a true individualist who follows his own star. You are restless, energetic, and have a great deal of initiative and courage.
Unsu...Thu, December 18, 2008 - 5:54 PMI got a cradle in my chart, thats 3 sextiles, 2 trines, 1 opposition (looks like a trapazoid).... So it is all in Water/Earth.
I get the Air/Fire from my envoirnment. I grew up with all fire signs.... and most my friends growing up were mostly Air/Fire dominant...Esp in the Moon signs..... Gemini and Aries most common.
It has only been in recent years that I have been surrounded completely by complementry elements of Water/Earth.... and I don't know, sometimes its harder to deal with. Like brothers and sisters.... cousins. Too easy to reconize.
Thu, December 18, 2008 - 6:39 PMId like to experience some water.. : )
Id love to know how it feels to be at peace with my emotions....
water signs do not ususally take to me : (
Im too analytical not gentle enough sometimes : (
earth, air and fire I love and get along with... thats my makeup ( mostly).
What are your thoughts on trines Allan ?( only second person Ive seen spelled like this)
Ive read that if the trine is not stimulated ( i guess is the word) that those natural gifts can go to waste.
Fri, December 19, 2008 - 3:10 PM>>YOu might take a 'stop crying about it' attitude and not shed a tear at a funeral, but ball your eyes out when Bambi dies.<<
THIS IS FUNNY ..I dont really cry at funerals or when someone dies ( I suck it up!) and become pensive or intellectualize it all)
and I cried when stripes ( from movie racing stripes) said
something like DONT LOOK BACK, STAY ON THE TRTACK
(hen he was falling behind in the race he purebred horses)
and then He WON! yay and wiped my tears rolling down on my face..
strange but true.. : )
