You are seeing the particular number you're constantly seeing for a reason. A higher spiritual and cosmic message is being conveyed to you, but are you listening? Can you comprehend the message?

Master numbers figure heavily in the science of numerology, which is the esoteric study of numbers and how they reveal where you as a soul have been and where you are going. It is a way to segment life in an orderly fashion to facilitate your life here on Earth in this present incarnation.

Numbers in and of themselves cannot make anything happen in your life outside of your conscious control (or even unconscious control). All things in the material and mundane world resonate at a specific level and numbers and letters are representations of the vibrational patterns.

Numbers are a convenience of language and are abstract qualities which only refer to real things; they are not the things themselves - only symbols. The most numerology can do for you is describe points within a cycle and offer a method of interpreting and utilizing these points for your benefit in life in all 12 departments of life.

In Numerology, Master numbers offer more opportunity for expression, especially higher expression, than the other numbers and also demand more from the individual. These numbers are a sign that the individual carries more social responsibility. If you are in fact a Master number (as shown in your numerology chart) or even seeing Master numbers in the routine of your daily life activity, you are likely a Master but perhaps have not yet realized this potential due to struggling in the Matrix and being preoccupied with frivolous and superficial matters and pursuits.

The winter solstice will occur on December 21, 2009 at 7:47 GMT. This time each year marks a shift in seasons, and reflects the continual movement of the earth on its axis

There is also a widely held belief, as a part of many spiritual traditions, that, the veil between the worlds is most penetrable at the time of the solstice. The suggestion is that we are able see from our place in the visible, deeper and further into the invisible world, as compared to other times in the year. Or, to put this in other words, we can see into the world that exists beyond our physical senses.

At the time of the solstice, according to the traditions of our path and through our practices, we can connect with the most powerful and potent energy through which we live in concert with — the divine mind. Furthermore, we have an opportunity to attune on the deepest levels with the Masters who direct our spiritual journey.

References to the idea of the veils being thin between the worlds, has always created a lot of spiritual, and emotional energy within me, as well as speculation. For some reason, this time has always taken on the ideas of the miraculous for me; that somehow, during these days, I can receive the wisdom from the Masters far beyond the limitations of my own thinking and beliefs.

There is so much power that comes with believing, and in this case, in a childlike way, I hold hopes that something major will happen. (Could that be Santa on the roof?) I think perhaps a door will open and that I will receive a direct transmission of the knowledge I am always seeking.

Each year the solstice is a reminder for me that reminds me about the level to which I am able, available and open to receive. There are terms and conditions I operate with that create the boundaries of my spiritual journey. Most notable is the challenge I face in my willingness to experience change in my life. There are parts of my life that continue to be works in progress as I continue to surrender my ego to a higher spiritual vibration.

The lifting of the veils happens every time we achieve a certain degree of harmony between our lives and the Divine mind. The veil does become thin and parts for each of us many times over the course of our lifetime. And in this moment, we receive a direct influx of information from the Cosmic Masters. Or answers to long held questions are received. For some of us, the experience occurs within a few days of the solstice. And for others, it can happen at any time during the year. In this moment, there may be a perceptible change within us. Or as happens in most cases, the event goes by without any change in our lives. On some level, we know we have changed on a soul level and our lives are different from that day forward.

The solstice is a good time to shed some new light on our path. When we first step onto our path, we soon begin to discover the two parts to our unfolding. The first includes the teachings and Masters we are attracted to that begin to create new lives for us as spiritual people. This is the light of knowledge.

The second step becomes our willingness to fully participate in our ascension process. Are we living our lives in a way that represents the spiritual people we aspire to be? It's a hard thing to convince our ego to let go and trust that a plan or path with unfold before us that is bigger or better than anything else we could create by the force of our being.

As we are nearing the end of yet another year, we need to take some time to journey into what we hold in our heart and mind that we are unwilling to let go of or change. The solstice marks the end of a calendar year, so it is a times to think about what we want to bring to an end. Would we be happier giving up the telling and retelling of our "story?"

Are there people who we need to let go from our lives, so we can continue to grow and become the spiritual person we aspire to be? Based upon the incredible changes going on in the world at this time, how do we change to meet the new demands of living in a world with less? Where do we need the light of knowledge to shine in our lives and uncover our truth?

Starting with this year's solstice, we can begin to create our own traditions to mark this auspicious occasion.

The universe evolves backward in time, not the other way around as we were taught in school. "The histories of the universe," concedes Stephen Hawking, the famed physicist "depend on what is being measured, contrary to the usual idea that the universe has an objective observer-independent history."

Life is not just a collection of atoms -- proteins and molecules spinning like planets around the sun. It is true that the laws of chemistry can tackle the rudimentary biology of living systems, but there is more to us than the sum of our biochemical functions. Conversely, physical existence cannot be divorced from the animal life that coordinates experience. We are connected not only by intertwined consciousness, but by a pattern that is a template for the universe itself.

Quantum physics tells us that objects exist in a suspended physical state until observed, when they collapse to just one outcome -- we don't know what happens until we investigate, and our investigation influences that reality. Whether or not certain events may have happened some time ago, may not actually be determined until some time in your future -- it may actually be contingent upon actions that have not yet taken place.

Bizarre? Maybe you don't believe this is real. Consider an experiment that was published in Science a couple of years ago. Scientists in France shot particles of light "photons" into a measuring apparatus, and showed that what they did -- now, in the present -- could retroactively change something that had already happened in the past. As the photons passed a fork in the apparatus, they had to decide whether to behave like particles or waves when they hit a beam splitter. Later on -- well after the photons passed the fork -- the experimenter could randomly switch a second beam splitter on and off electronically. It turns out that what the observer decided at that point, determined what the particle actually did at the fork in the past. At that moment, the experimenter chose his reality.

Of course, we live in the same world. No physicist challenges the fact that particles do not exist with definite physical properties until they are observed. Every particle has a range of possible physical states, but it's not until the actual act of observation that it takes on defined properties. So until the present is determined, how can there be a past?

According to eminent physicist John Wheeler, one of Albert Einstein's last collaborators, "The quantum principle shows that there is a sense in which what an observer will do in the future defines what happens in the past."

It was only with the advent of quantum physics that scientists began to consider again the old question of the possibility of comprehending the world as a form of mind. Since that time, physicists have analyzed and revised their equations in a vain attempt to arrive at a statement of natural laws that in no way depends on the circumstances of the observer. It seems only natural that the daily circuit of, say, moon round earth, though satiable only by a mind, was independent of any perception whatever. But this was to prove an illusion.

In these days of experiment and disconnected theory, one point seems certain: the nature of the universe cannot be divorced from the nature of life itself. Indeed, the quantum theory implies that consciousness must exist, and that the content of the mind is the ultimate reality. If we do not look at it, the moon is gone. In this world, only an act of observation can confer shape and form to reality -- to a dandelion in a meadow, or a seed pod, or the sun or wind or rain. Anyway, it's amazing, and even your dog can do it too.

According to biocentrism, space and time are not the hard objects we think (Lanza and Berman, Biocentrism, BenBella, 2009). Wave your hand through the air. If you take everything away, what's left? The answer, of course, is nothing. The same thing applies for time -- you can't put it in a marmalade jar. Look at anything -- say this page. You can't see it through the bone that surrounds your brain. Everything you see and experience right now is a whirl of information occurring in your mind. Space and time are simply the mind's tools for putting everything together. We carry them around with us like turtles with shells. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, they are not "real and insurmountable."

In the end, even Einstein admitted, "Now Besso" (one of his oldest friends) "has departed from this strange world a little ahead of me. That means nothing. People like us...know that the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion."

Saturn sq Pluto: Restless Conscience?

In one of his messages, James Gilliland of ECETI.org, said he's been deluged with emails from people asking....what is going on? He writes, "People are having trouble sleeping, waking up at four in the morning on a regular basis, feeling major mood swings along with compressed time having trouble keeping up with the accelerated energies or learning process." He writes that many are experiencing a restless conscience.

Gilliland says we're being put on notice, to get right with our soul's integrity. With Saturn in Libra, there's an imperative toward justice, fairness, balance. And because it's squaring Pluto (in Capricorn), that intensifies the areas in our lives where we've compromised our morals. Pluto reaches deep into psychological terrain, and the square to Saturn forces what's hidden to the light.

What makes this aspect so challenging, is that the wrestling with the soul, is forcing us to confront institutionalized corruption. And each of us wrestles with the role we're playing in a corrupt system. For example, war can only happen when we create an enemy and de-humanize the 'other.' Saturn in Libra forces us to look in the mirror, instead of projecting evils onto others.

It's a transit that asks us if we've sold our soul, and what we can do about it. We allow injustice to prevail, when wars are waged to get another region's resources. This long aspect forces us to look at what we're doing, since the conscience is rattling the cage from deep within. For Americans, this aspect may bring the wars home in a way that pierces collective denial. That happens with Pluto transits. The medicine may be bitter and harsh, but it wakes us up to what's poisoning our souls.

Re-humanizing your work life.
Shifting investments to companies that do no harm.
Recovering your sensitivity.
Healing from toxic beliefs.
Voting with your dollars.

It's a hair-raising day, with Uranus (in Pisces) stationing direct adding its charge to the static in the air. The Hopi weren't kidding when they said the river will be moving very fast, and now we move toward the rapids. Strange shocks may become the norm, as Uranus moves forward to go into Aries in May of 2010. Uranus awakens, often by causing a sudden bust-up of the status quo. As the liberator, it breaks us free of what's got a hold on our consciousness.

Recently John Cusack said he thought that 2012 was all about an epic change in consciousness. It's hard to define consciousness, but I see it as the soul currents both in individuals and the collective. Many visionaries say that dark forces are trying to keep humanity's consciousness at a certain level. And that the "end times" are all about shattering a matrix that has kept us from knowing ourselves as divine.

We're in a time now of mental restlessness, with the Sun in philosophical Sagittarius. It's a great time to see all the parts of the picture for yourself, which is the first step toward being a free thinker. In our time of so much confusion, it's hard to have a sovereign mind. But you give a gift to the world -- through the shared field of consciousness -- when you achieve that. So raising your own consciousness contributes to the whole.

Is Good or Evil In the Birth Chart?

This is something that perplexes even the best astrologers, as it seems to land somewhere outside of analytical techniques. There are issues of defining "good" and "evil," as well as how "free will" interacts with difficult aspects, circumstances, and head spaces. Today we revisit this thorny issue.

As I've written before, we cannot find this in the aspects or sign positions, since supposedly "negative" aspects between planets can manifest for good rather than difficulty, and great aspects can be in the chart of a person capable of very bad actions. That implies a factor beyond planets and aspects is at work in producing Sages and sinners.

Throughout history there have been many evolved people with both harmonious and frictional aspects, as well as toads in human form with both "favorable" and "unfavorable" aspects. This is part of the "free will" element of astrology.

We have nothing to fear from "bad" aspects, natally, progressed, or transit. We also should not assume that "good" aspects will always yield results that are harmonious to what we believed would happen.

We always have the potential to grasp the wheel of our "fate" and steer ourselves in a more productive direction.

If you've been wondering why this month has been so intense, we've had major crosscurrents in motion between planets in Scorpio and Mars in Leo. Is it any wonder some areas of our life are being turned in different directions? It begins to get better today.

Late October began the run of squares between planets in Scorpio in square to Mars in Leo. Sun and Mercury square Mars started then and lasted through the first week of November. This stressed all planets in the early degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, a.k.a. "the Fixed signs."

Sun square Mars challenged us to get our energies under leash and not get too aggressive while refusing others' aggressions. Mercury square Mars challenged us to be practical and visionary without sharpness or impulsiveness.

As noted in other articles, the Sun in Scorpio with Mars in Leo become the final dispositors of all the other planets. This is because the Sun rules Mars and Mars rules the Sun. That means the "chain of rulerships" moves between planets until it winds up in a closed loop, making these two planets the ultimate "deciders" for how the others manifest.

The Sun and Mars move from the square early in the month into a biseptile by mid-November, upping the irrationality of the times and bringing forth obsessive or compulsive behaviors in all with planets in mid-to-late Fixed signs. We are in the heart of the biseptile right now, so if things seem a little crazy or don't make much sense, well, they are and they don't have to.

This puts the on-going light, ruling our Leo sectors, at a "fork in the road of destiny" with the planet that rules our Aries and Scorpio sectors. This is a critical shift in our understanding of how to do something, or why we must challenge something, or how we will be expressing our heart strength in the future. With Mars at the Lion point, we're definitely shaping our life and heart initiatives for many months to come.

This primarily affects those with planets and points in the following zones: 14-16 Leo, 5-7 Libra, 27-29 Scorpio, 18-20 Capricorn, 10-12 Pisces, 1-3 Taurus, and 23-25 Gemini. Obviously elements of current choices and changes will be re-triggered at the end of November when Venus transits the Scorpio zone, and the entire sequences of degrees will be moved forward about 3 to 4 degrees when Venus in early Sag exactly biseptiles Mars at 18 Leo. Extremely productive energy will be in the air due to other astrological factors, so make the most of early December!

Adding to the current stress level of the past week is the on-going Venus square Mars from mid-Scorpio to mid-Leo constituting a major "fight or flight" challenge. Venus is opposed its home sign in Scorpio, giving some difficulty to its areas of influence. Add that Mars rules Venus and is strong in Leo, and so it's bound to create some degree of friction wherever it falls in our charts.

Here we must learn to find the right means to accomplish our ends, and not get deflected by momentary things. Basically we have to keep things on track, defending some things, initiating other things, and not get bogged down in too much fixity, resentment, pride, or stubbornness.

It's putting our emergent Taurus and Libra affairs at a turning point relative to our Aries and Scorpio affairs. The solution to this is to make sure to gentle down some interpersonal challenges while seeing the bigger picture or common interests. This is the time to be expansive while turning corners determining future vision to come in January and February before picking up the effort anew in March when Mars goes direct in motion.

These October and November pressures are even now giving way to the stability and understandings coming the last 10 days of November through the Winter Solstice as Mercury and then the Sun and Venus trine Mars. This offers 4 weeks of harmonious and productive momentum where we can accomplish many things very quickly. (We'll have to learn to manage the squares from Sag to Uranus in Pisces, but that's another article.)

The stabilizing and harmonizing trines coming the next few weeks are very good, since Mars is already slowing down as it moves toward its stationary retrograde point at 20 Leo on the 20th of December. The trines to Mars from Sagittarius beginning late November will assist the stability of what will be slowed down in Jan-Feb 2010 and then pick up speed for many months afterward.

So all in all this has been and continues to be a fairly hard-edged month where much progress can be made, whether through purifying and simplifying things or changing course to break up old inertias. We now move into a more harmonious period where we can set the future into motion.

Be sure to get as much stabilized as possible the next 4 weeks, since Mars and Mercury will begin to slow fairly quickly as we get deeper into December. Both are preparing to go retrograde in the last half of December, which I'll be writing more about in the weeks to come. Until then, reflect on storms in the recent past which helped you get clear about what to do or not, and how to do it. This will bring higher understanding and vision setting the patterns for the new initiatives coming Spring 2010.

Leo on the twelfth cusp is the twelfth house-sign of the Virgo Ascendant; Gemini on the eighth cusp is the twelfth house-sign of Cancer on the ninth cusp, etc.

Twelfth house is "that from which something emanates." The Ascendant itself "emanates" from the twelfth house as the diameter of Ascendant-7thcusp emanates from the diameter of 4th cusp-10th cusp or as the trine of Aries-Leo emanates from the trine of Sagittarius-Aries or as the quadrant of Libra-Capricorn emanates from the quadrant of Cancer-Libra. And so on.

In the Great mandala, the fire trine of Aries-Leo-Sagittarius, initiated by the cardinal Aries, emanates from the water-trine Pisces-Cancer- Scorpio; the latter trine is initiated in the past by the cardinal Cancer "root" of the vertical line of "vibrational heredity." This vertical diameter- -abstractly Cancer-Capricorn--out of which Aries-Libra is emanated--is astrology's symbolic picturing of what most people call "heredity."

The processes of Life as evolution are a continual emergence from that which was (the past) into that which now is (the present) and thence into that which is to be (the future). Nothing "just appears;" that which was conditioned that which is; that which is is conditioning that which is to be.

The sequence of houses correlated with the sequence of signs is astrology's way of picturing the sequence of life's ever- becomingness as continual releasement of potentials. In other words the horoscope is a static symbol of the eternally rhythmic (the symmetry of time) emergence of potentials from octave to octave in perpetual unfoldingness.

Therefore, when the unfoldingness of an individual human is thrown out of rhythmic timing a defect results in the synchronization of sign with house. For whatever karmic reason or consciousness-conditioning, the emphasis of one level of unfoldment at the expense of another has the effect of intercepted signs appearing in the natal horoscope as a picturing of structural-vibratory defect.

To illustrate: use any chart you have available that has an intercepted diameter. Apply the approach explained in the foregoing by connecting the "points" that represent the structure of the crosses and trines. Somewhere along the line you will see a defect in the symmetry of these designs because somewhere a cross-point or a trine-point will not coincide with a house-cusp. Thus the vibrational-content of the wheel is thrown out of symmetry and the sequence-content of the wheel is thrown out of rhythm. There are varying degrees of complexity and difficulty in interpreting "intercepted charts" as in anything else. Let us see if we can organize an outline of approach, starting with the easiest:

Type 1-A: The horoscope has the cusps of the first, fourth, seventh, and tenth houses covered by a perfect vibrational cross--cardinal, fixed or mutable. In this pattern the composite "generator" (fourth-tenth) and the composite "generated" (first-seventh) coincide with four quadrants of the zodiac and the clarity of basic relationship-structure is pictured.

Type 1-B: The above requirements are depicted in the Basic Generic Chart. This is a variation of the natal chart by which the sign containing the natal planetary ruler is used as Ascendant. This variation focuses the power of the vibratory ruler of the chart--the planet that rules that sign.

Type 2--three possibilities: A--a perfect generic trine covers the cusps of the first, fifth, and ninth houses; B--a perfect generic trine covers the cusps of the seventh, eleventh, and third houses; C-- a perfect generic trine focused structurally at either the cusp of the fourth house or the cusp of the tenth. In all of these classifications, the problem of intercepted signs is comparatively minimized because the arch-symbols of cross and/or trine are synchronized with the basic structure-points of the wheel.

When the placement of intercepted signs "creates a disturbance" in the relationship of sign-sequence with house-sequence of the structure-points, the interpretation problem becomes more complex. Study your intercepted-sign charts with an eye as to the relationship of a complete cross or a complete trine by sequence from the Ascendant. In other words, find out how close the intercepted-sign chart comes to fulfilling the requirements of symmetrical design; in so doing, you mentally reduce to a minimum the "hazards" presented by the complexities of "irregularity" in the wheel.

Religion is a complex subject to approach because like the splintered cross it is old and cracked like a winding road through tangled woods and brings just as much agony as it does relief. In ancient times, mankind invented religion out of respect, awe, and fear for their miraculous elemental environment. They saw how beautiful and harsh the world could be and were terrified and elated at the same time.

The true root word for religion is the Latin "religio" which means to "re-link", to bind back together with God [Divine intelligence]

The implication is that we each need to find a way to re-link ourselves with the divine intelligence who created everything and who we are extensions of.. The Biblical Creation Myth states that when God created man he breathed his spirit into our nostrils. That's pretty clear that we are only alive because we are extensions of God which I like to define as eternal being.

Now I'm treading into fierce waters when I get into my own beliefs. I don't think we need to "believe" in God as if he were some kind of magical fairy that's going to vanish if we don't believe in his existence. I think we need to know God, to share a unique relationship with eternal being. If I had to pick a religion I would have to say I'm a Christian mystic, Taoist poet-Magi. Now that's a mouthful!

I am inspired by the Biblical stories and their lessons of love, forgiveness, inner peace, and the inner battle to align our lower egotistical, selfish selves with our higher, cosmic loving origin. I write about these themes in my fantasy adventure novels all the time. But I'm also deeply inspired by the wisdom of the Far East in Taoism, Shinto, Buddhism, and the spiritual path of awakening through body wisdom and nature wisdom. I also love the Celtic wisdom and the Egyptian and Persian teachings.

My religion is pretty much like Einstein described it when he called it Cosmic Religion. It's universal. It works for everyone and doesn't alienate or isolate any group. I have deep reverence for nature, the stars and planets, love, and languages, but I do not "worship" them in the Biblical sense.

I am aware that there is a deeper intelligence behind creation that lives in my heart and I open to that intelligence in my meditations and when I write. To me, sitting before the blank page with my heart aimed at eternity is my Zazen, my temple, my praise, and in the words of Antonio Michado, my listening at the shores of the great silence.

Overall I would have to declare that my path in life is one of communicating with divinity through the celestial spheres. I am here to engage the infinite. So the ancients would have called someone like me a Magi or Astrologer, like the three wise men who came to visit Yehoshua (Jesus) after his birth. I wrote a poem about their journey called Quest of the Magi. There is definitely a dark force that we are struggling against in the world. You only have to look at the way our society is to see that! Watch the news for ten minutes and you'll see how prevalent the evil is.

But I think we create most of this evil through ignorance of universal principles of harmony. I believe that evil is just the inharmonious blending of the natural forms, colors, and tones of good. If you play a note on an instrument it may sound "good". But if you combine it with other notes it can sound melodious or awful, depending on how you blend the music, how you create it. This is the same with the world of forms and the realm of dimensions. There is a recipe for wholeheartedness, and our world has lost it! In any recipe if you don't follow the steps and use the right amount of ingredients then it could turn out disastrous.

Life too has a recipe for living a balanced existence in harmony with the divine current. There are Seven Energy groups which make up what I call the Way of Fruition. This is the "Diet" that leads to Am-ness, unified consciousness with divine being. Here are the Seven Energy Groups:

For those of you who haven't read it, as well as those who have, this is a meditational piece I wrote a long time ago for all Eternals living in this field of Maya.

I last posted this about 9 months ago. From the preface:

By deep examination of what we think, what we feel, what we like, what we don't like, what we reject, and what we accept we can fulfill one of the primary requirements of any form of true enlightenment, the ancient command to "Know Thy Self." This piece assists that process.

In it are truths to remember as we navigate the waves of life's changes and our own ego dissolving experiences. Each line provides contemplative nourishment and a Ray we can ride into our Eternal Self.

I wrote this meditational piece over 25 years ago using the name "Aquarius." It first appeared in my column "The Halls of Wisdom" in "The Fifth Ray News," a small publication with an international following. I have found over the years that regardless of how many times I reflect on its precepts, it continues to be powerful, useful, and comforting.

So by all means, take a deep breath, focus on opening to experiencing reality differently than you ever have before, open your heart to the Living, Loving Wonder that you are, and begin the journey of remembrance.

Standing on the Threshold of Saturn In Libra Oct-Nov-Dec 2009

Saturn is now at the 30th degree of Virgo, completing the lessons of the past 2+ years and preparing to enter Libra October 29 at 10:09 am PDT, 6:09 pm Greenwich. What does this mean now and in the weeks to come?

Well, if nothing else it means that people are about to confront major turning of the wheel of Destiny in their charts! All with these birth periods are experiencing Saturn conjunct, square, or opposed to their Sun, no small matter in our life. And it will be happening for months to come.....

On the other hand (a Libra view!), those born between the end of the third through the fourth weeks of January, May, July, and November will find major productivity and understanding during these weeks, while those born mid July and mid December will find gifts and unique qualities developing out of experience and willingness to respond to specialized circumstances.

Obviously there will be other groups heavily affected during this transition time, including entire generations with major planets in the very early and very late degrees of every sign. But that's more than I can go into in this article. I will be composing how Saturn in Libra affects generations and each individual sign in the future. For now, we'll be focusing on the larger meaning of this transitional threshold state.

Beyond personal considerations, there are the larger changes upon us to examine as we transition from Saturn in Virgo to Saturn in Libra. This is the first of three passages of Saturn across the last degree of Virgo. These occur now, and again in 2010 in April (RX) and July (Direct).

This shows that for the next 9 months, we're dealing with larger Saturn lessons connected to the end of Virgo and beginning of Libra. These two energies are radically different, so being alert to changing ways of doing things will be paramount.

New Moons and Full Moons 2009 Generational Accents

A reader asked me what it meant that the recent New Moon in Libra fell conjunct their Pluto.

That got me to thinking, lol and you know what that means....

While forming the answer to the query, I realized that at certain points in the year, a series of New Moons and Full Moons in fact do stimulate many of the "generational planets" in our charts. Whether Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto, there are a sequence of Lunations that trigger these outer, invisible, "transpersonal" energies, allowing us to face spiritual lessons that evolve us in major ways.

To cite the example that inspired this article, the recent New Moon at 25 Libra put the focus on the Pluto for everyone with that planet in the latter part of Libra [and mid Scorpio] Also, it conjuncted the Neptune and the Uranus.

Jupiter is now direct in motion once again. It is now re-tracing its steps through Aquarius for the 3rd and last time on its way to assisting all to major transfigurations in January 2010, after which it moves into Pisces. What does this mean for all signs?

Let's review what's happened so far. Jupiter left Capricorn and entered Aquarius in early January 2009. To those with planets in Aquarius, 2009 has launched a new 12 year learning adventure to whatever Aquarius planets Jupiter has conjuncted.

Jupiter is the great expander. Many think it automatically brings wealth, but that's really more a combination of (Venus + Karma + 2nd/8th house dynamic) than Jupiter. Jupiter teaches, blesses, protects, and helps us grow into a larger vision and deeper motive. Jupiter is merciful, generous, abundant in view, and shows us ever-greater life greater adventures.

Jupiter liberates us from old personal conditions represented by Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars, the planets of personality. It is how we grow into ever vaster understanding of possibilities. It is a higher, ever-elusive Truth that keeps us moving into the adventure of discovery.

When balanced with Saturn, the Dharmic limiter, "Ring-Pass-Not," and time-keeper of Karma and karmas, we find ways to express our Saturn through our Jupiter, and our Jupiter through our Saturn. Our responsibilities to learn and teach express as our vision of possibilities to determine our future and Destiny. These two together show as Character, which determines everything in our lives.

In Aquarius, it has opened greater Aquarian growth for those who have embraced the vision. For good or ill, we've all been taught major Aquarius lessons since January! These deal with goals, ambitions, friendships, group work, and a more ideal and significant way of serving our world in cooperation with others. It is where we learn perspective on how all parts are related to the whole. In Aquarius we learn to manage our energies in collective circumstances to be fit for a greater contribution to our world.

It moved forward through Aquarius until going stationary retrograde at 28 Aquarius in mid-June 2009. Then it moved back to 18 Aquarius where it recently went direct. This shows that the period from mid-June through mid-October was about reviewing what we learned or opened to between late March and mid-June.

We now get to finish those lessons as those parts of our inner and outer Jupiter again move forward. We've all had opportunities to see a greater contribution and intelligently prepare, working with an eye to assuring future supply by learning new ways of managing our affairs.

The third experience of this span of degrees ends with the New Year, after which Jupiter moves through the end of Aquarius, a span challenging us to transfigure our individuality and daily lives in early January. In the middle of January it moves into Pisces, one of the signs it rules, where it will continue forward until June 2010 when it briefly moves into Aries.

Almost all 2009 it's been conjunct Chiron and Neptune. These are very powerful energies that help Jupiter grow into tremendous Spiritual potential. How harmonious or difficult the experience is depends entirely on the individual responses to the events this stellium has been associated with.

For some, it has brought a more altruistic vision and yearning of connectedness with other like-minded Souls. For others, it has brought heightened illusions in goals or supposed friendships. Whether deceptions or Divinely Inspired Connectedness, illusions or a greater dedication to a form of world service, Jupiter conjunct Chiron and Neptune has cemented these things in the larger collective field as well as in our own lives in whatever house it's transiting.

We now stand at the beginning of the end of this set of lessons and adventures, preparing to move into the Piscean lessons and adventures the first 5 months of 2010. Things associated with Jupiter will move very quickly the next few months, so if it's offered, grab the brass ring and move into greater circumstances more perfect for your long term growth.

On a final note for today, it could also be said that the Orb of Divine Mercy is now moving forward in all our lives. Many will be blessed, protected, and graced as Jupiter moves across Aquarius and again makes many contacts with our planets.

Our vision and what we've learned will be deepened into a greater compassion and understanding when Jupiter moves into Pisces. While sometimes the going gets obscure there, it also shows us our common humanity through expanded feelings which could lead to a vaster emotional intelligence.

Though he is seen in other animals as the intelligent spider that uses trickery to catch its prey,

Without it, man would be compelled to follow the structural shaping forces of order
which manifest in the 10th sphere (Geb - Earth) and why we are different than Animals
(and why I say we did not come from Apes or other Animals).

As the “instincts” that compel all of us to obey the law,
in which case we could not be held accountable to law, human or divine,
let alone be considered the “likeness of God”.

Protection Against Entity Attachments

You have two immune systems to protect you,

a physical one and a psychic one.

You must keep both of them strong!

Since foreign energy attachments can wreck havoc with a persons life, people quite often,
ask me about how to protect themselves from these energies.

Unfortunately, by the time a person asks the question,

they are usually already attached and suffering the consequences.

It is like closing the barn door after the horse has been stolen.

There is a process that can protect you, but you must understand it to make it work for you.

We all have a psychic defense system that protects us against the invasion of foreign energies,
just like we have a physical immune system that protects us from the invasion of pathogens
that can harm our physical health.

The Chinese call this psychic defense system, the Guardian Chi or Kundalini (KARA)

The same kinds of things that lower our physical immune system like negative emotions of fear,
sadness, rage and hate; and extreme fatigue, poor diet, etc. lower our psychic defense system.

When our psychic defense system is down, we are vulnerable to the invasion of foreign energies
attracted by our negative energy. Not only does the negative emotion lower our defense,
but also it acts as a beacon to energies like itself. Like energies attract like energies.

Once these energies (entities) attach to us, they become forcing functions in the subconscious mind
distorting our bodys energy field and causing blocks to the flow of Chi through our bodies.

These forcing functions also install negative programs in our subconscious hard drive
that affects our behavior and response to life. The entities must be removed before any
other clearing on the Self can be done. Forcing functions from trauma in this life, a past life,

an internal conflict or a genetic problem can then be dealt with and cleared.

Once clear, the subconscious is a able to receive positive programs to replace
negative ones and permanent change can result. Sometimes, entities will leave by themselves,

but more often, someone who knows how to do it must remove them.

To guard against attachments, keep yourself positive so that you do not lower your Guardian Chi
or your physical immune system.

Project positive energy rather than negative energy and you will
attract positive energy (like angels) to yourself.

Keep yourself physically strong and fit with exercise and good nutrition
because this helps keep your energy positive and your psychic and physical immune systems viable.

I use an ancient Kemet shield and the Dog Star Meditation for protection.

I also recommend prayer or affirmations as an excellent way to stay positive.

Knowing who and what you truly are guards against negativity in life.

The mind has a survival coping mechanism within it called “disassociation”

which it uses to protect ones sanity if one is subject to a traumatic occurrence,
which the mind cannot handle. This survival mechanism is a very primitive part of us
and causes many problems for many people later in life.

When the mind is “traumatically overstressed”, it creates a sub-personality,
frozen in time at the age when the trauma occurred and stuffs the trauma energy,
which created it into the sub-personality, submerges the sub-personality into the
subconscious mind and the conscious mind is thereafter unaware of it.

This disassociated sub-personality is called Soul-Mind Fragmentation (SMF).

In the psychiatric and psychological worlds, soul-mind fragments are often called “ego states”.

The trauma energy in the SMF is still affecting the person, but he doesn’t know it is there.
A lot of “free floating anxiety” is caused by these phenomena.

When the hypnotherapist discovers a person’s own SMF, he does not remove it since it is a part of the person.
Instead, the competent hypnotherapist will seek to release the energy within the SMF
and integrate the SMF back into the personality.

Children tend to disassociate much more often than adolescents or adults
because traumatic happenings that might scare or sadden a child might not deeply
affect an older person because of his experience. That is why we tend to find many more
“inner children” than we do “inner adolescents” or “inner adults” when we search for soul-mind fragments.

Sometimes, in times of stress, the SMF can jump off and attach to another person.

When it does this, it brings the trauma energy within the SMF to the attached person.

The attached person now has to deal with the trauma energy within the SMF just as though it were his own energy.

The person who lost the SMF is now deprecated because part of his soul is missing and this can cause illness.

Native American Shamans go into a vision quest trance and go out into the existence planes and retrieve the SMF,
heal it and then return it to the person who lost it and the Indian gets well. This is called soul retrieval.

Sometimes, that person out there self-fragments and his SMF attaches to another person.

This is now a foreign attachment to the other person and carries with it
all the trauma energy of that person’s disassociation.

The competent hypnotherapist must now find the foreign SMF within his client, disengage it,
heal it and send it back along the silver cord, which connects it to the person who lost the fragment.

The client is now free of the trauma energy in the foreign SMF and the person who lost the SMF
is also healed because he receives back the part of his soul which was missing minus the trauma
energy which created it because of the healing by the hypnotherapist.

You never want to send a SMF back to the person who lost it without first
healing it by releasing the trauma energy within it that created it.

Curses are a very ancient method for inflicting bad energy on people, places or things.

Curses are a manifestation of Soul Mind Fragmentation (SMF)

deliberately caused to affect a negative outcome.

In a curse, a SMF is deliberately created by the cursor through the powerful emotions
of hate or revenge and deliberately projected onto the cursed person, place or thing.

Because of the intent, the SMF usually picks up a demon and the bad energy in the fragment is thereby worsened…
exacerbating the damage to the accursed.

To heal this condition on the cursed one, the therapist must find the attached SMF,

release the Demon and send the SMF back to the cursor.
A good hypnotherapist will always heal the SMF before returning it to the cursor.

I often find soul-mind fragments of parents on their children.

For instance, the mother might go into frenzy with all of her stresses
and disassociate creating a SMF of herself within herself The child,
who is scared of the mother’s anger and frenzy

will drop it’s Guardian Chi psychic protective shield and the SMF
of the mother attaches to the child bringing with it all the trauma energy of the disassociation.

The child now has to bear this negative energy and sometimes for the rest of its life.

I frequently find soul-mind fragments of parents on their children when the child
is a grown up adult of fifty years of age and it is still negatively affecting the person’s life.

You can possess the SMF of dead people as well of alive people.

The SMF is formed and transferred when the person was alive,
but the person may die and the client can still have it attached to him.

When we release the SMF of a dead person,
we heal it and send it back to his deprecated soul on the astral level
and his soul now becomes complete.

This action frequently will release earthbound spirits who may be haunting people or places.

Saturn Opposing Uranus *PURGE~ the purification proccess

By the reports I'm receiving this time has been extremely heavy for a lot of people. Pressures are very high, and it seems there are major separations from past and future in all sorts of life areas with new developments emerging. Welcome to Saturn opposition Uranus, with more to come!

Even though Saturn is now "officially past" the direct opposition, it's important to remember it's merely the first of many that will cross Virgo and Pisces, Libra and Aries, all within close orb of squaring Pluto in early Capricorn anchoring The Grand Irrationality. Though Saturn and Uranus will soon be out of signs that naturally oppose each other, they'll still be within orb of opposition through most of 2010 crisscrossing between the signs just mentioned.

Because Pluto makes the T-squares to the opposition, it is the driver of the pattern. Pluto is the symbol of relentless purification and total transformation down to the seed patterns of our existence. This will be more evident in the next few years as Saturn in Libra waning squares Pluto as Uranus (and Jupiter) in Aries make waxing squares to Pluto. This promises widespread upheaval and dynamic changes wherever it falls in our charts.

Saturn, being waning square to Pluto, is fulfilling old forms. Uranus, being waxing square to Pluto, is showing emergent forms. Pluto is what resolves the oppositional tension of Saturn and Uranus by slamming the brakes on some things while releasing seed potentials in other ways.

I've written extensively about the opposition in previous articles, as well as the squares. The opposition between Saturn and Uranus (Oranos) is the stuff of legends, of mythological power struggles between the forces these two planets symbolize. We're all living within this larger struggle challenging our ability to hold the tension of opposites while bringing forth higher realizations in whatever life realm we must.

Saturn is Dharma, the "Ring Pass Not" and the Binding Force of Time and Inertia. It is where our socio-cultural limits and structures meet our Transpersonal Self. Uranus is the Divine Fool, the "Aleph" that forever individualizes on its own terms in the Eternal Quest. It shows how we become our Uniqueness manifesting a form of the Divine Law of Synthesis.

Oppositions polarize, but also show how any given thing externalizes its essential nature. Thus when used correctly, this larger opposition shows what we must exteriorize of Eternal Dharma with Love, Wisdom, and Intelligence. This will be unique according to how we each respond to our Saturn and Uranus dynamics within each of us.

Still, the opposition is affecting everyone on clear and concrete levels, whether they're using the energies wisely or not. Everyone has been living within this "beyond-our-control" set of factors bringing forth polarizations, separations, clarifications, and the surfacing of new forms in our lives, freed from old impurities.

I have observed this opposition is working on many people like a centrifuge. In a centrifuge, the force is so strong that whatever is in the vials inside the centrifuge separate into various densities, with impurities condensing at the bottom and the clearest, purest liquids collect at the top.

I believe that is happening to everyone right now, in the sense that impurities are getting flung to areas apart from our "pure consciousness." We can now "pour off" the purified mind, feelings, and actions into new life containers and see ourselves apart from the impurities of our past.

Of course, given the centrifuge will continue to spin for quite some time, expect to be flung into some things and people and away from others! And keep pouring off the purified Being into more appropriate containers. At the end of this you'll be very, very clear in many ways.

When the Sun transits Libra, we are shown the light of new relationships, ideals, partying, and other pleasing social forms. It's the beginning of Autumn, with its focus on harvesting that which is agreeable to us, socializing and connecting with a greater "perfect vision" while seeing the endings in the old forms of our lives. Libra is self-initiating, interactive, and tries to see all the different points of view in any situation. A Window on the Possible

The two luminaries (Sun, Moon) are in Libra at this New Moon. That brings a rush of fresh air to clear our minds. It gives us special Libra equilibrium goggles, that show us how we're doing in relationships. It sharpens our vision of what's needed to bring more love, peace and beauty into our lives.

Libra is the sign of balance, but in a world of constant change, we reach that only in brief moments. The New Moon chart shows four cosmic bodies (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus) in Libra. So it's a moment when the lunar light goes out, and in the Void of the Dark Moon, we can have flashes of the way things ought to be. With cardinal Libra, we grow agitated to see our ideas made manifest. The New Moon can be a big moment where these ideas are pulled out of the dark of the spirit and imagination.

It reminds me of the last line I read last night before going to sleep, from the book Serpent of Light, Beyond 2012 by Drunvalo Melchizedek6. He writes: "Do not look into Kali's eyes. But put your attention on the budding life and light in the center of the vortex." Kali is the Hindu Goddess of Death, so he's referring to the trauma of the old world falling apart. The New Moon sets the stage to focus on what's emerging.

Shine Your Light
The New Moon chart shows Mars (action) in Leo (creativity). Mars in Leo7 is heart-led, courageous and dynamic. It makes a square to the Sun-Moon in Libra, asking us to take risks with our self-expression. We have to get past just passively being entertained, to finding our own star potential. It's yet another cosmic provocation, to actively join in the creation of our world. This can also bring creative confidence, making it a good time to jumpstart your art.

Freedom vs. Control
The two contentious heavyweights are still in a wide orb opposition with Uranus in Pisces8 and Saturn in Virgo.9 It's the ongoing theme of the status quo (Saturn) vs. the chaos of heart awakening (Uranus). There's something going on that's wild and unpredictable, and has a mystical component. But there's a counter force that reacts to chaos by fearfully grasping onto the known. The shattering of old paradigms comes when we bravely own up to fears that keep us in rigid thinking. All this adds up to it being an unsettling, but exciting time to be alive!

Time to See with New Eyes
There's a sense of urgency to come up with new solutions now, and join forces with those that want to see a life-sustaining society. This would include transforming our institutions (government, corporations) so they reflect the human values. From my vantage point, it appears that very powerful global entities are making a play for total control. Pluto in Capricorn10 is a transit that invites us to consider hidden hands and shadow governments. When you discover the truth that many world leaders have the same agenda, then the steps toward surveillance and ever-increasing control, make sense.

We truly live in an epic time, when humanity is at a crossroads. This New Moon invites us to quiet our minds and listen for higher guidance. Sacred Sexuality

Sexuality is closely related to spirituality in several ways. In its negative aspects of lust, sexual excess, degradation and rape, it appears as the antithesis of spirituality, and in this light it has been seen in the Western, Wiccan, and Christian tradition.

However, in its positive aspects oursexuality can open our heart to love, and enable us to have experiences similar to meditative states and mystical bliss during and its afterglow.

In a less obvious way, sexual energies can be channeled upward to develop our energy centers or chakra system and higher energy bodies. According to esoteric and yoga teachings, this is all part of our spiritual evolution.

The idea of celibacy for priests, nuns and monks is to spiritualize sexual energies as in meditation, rituals and other devotional practices.

While this generally involves conscious exercises as in yoga, Christian mystics commonly transformed their energies without conscious awareness through intense devotion. If religious celibates fight to suppress their sexuality, they misunderstand the deeper reason for the practice of celibacy, and block their spiritual evolution on that level.

If devotional practices do not lead to the transmutation of sexual energies then it is much better to find a natural outlet. Suppression always leads to problems. There are hundreds of different Tantric, Taoist, yogic and meditation techniques to transform sexual energy into kundalini or spiritual energy. Sexual energy is a denser part of our general life force energy, which can be liberated as kundalini energy and led upwards. Its ultimate purpose is to facilitate spiritual growth by developing our chakra system and higher energy bodies.

What is Spirituality?I

In this context ‘spirituality’ means to me an effort to speed up our evolution of consciousness, which then becomes manifest in the functions of our energy bodies and the formation of higher energy bodies. I see the next stage in the spiritual evolution of humanity as forming a society based on cooperation, love and compassion. In some way this is a high ideal of all religions, but especially expressed in Buddhism and Christianity. Love and compassion are the expressions of an opened heart center.

Therefore the practice of KMT is especially relevant at this time. Tantric, Taoist and yogic methods try to go further by fast developing the whole chakra system and a higher energy body, which Taoists call the immortal body, and which may correspond to the light body of New Age philosophy. However, apart from achieving various temporary states of bliss and psychic happenings, few seem to be really successful in this way and also so-called brain or spiritual orgasms may still be related to dopamine activity.

Many times I've been asked by clients "How do I know this is the right person to marry?"

First, I'll offer some final insights regarding compatibility charts. Often when people ask me for a session to see if they're compatible with someone, what they really want is a blessing on the relationship. They usually want to know that it WILL work out, and would rather not explore elements that could in time break them apart. Unfortunately, we usually split because of the unexamined negatives, not what attracts us initially.

A true compatibility reading will cover strengths and weaknesses, harmonious traits as well as those personality traits that will create friction at some point or another. Both must be examined if we are to get an accurate picture of the factors both people must deal with.

Even these will change over time, so it's not like any "compatibility" is set in stone. In this regard, how each exercises their free will when confronted with major decisions determines whether they'll make it as a couple over the long run.

I believe there are certain questions that must be asked before we give ourselves over to believing we could have a long term relationship with someone. Are they violent? Do they lose their temper inappropriately? Are they selfish? Do they take responsibility for their behavior, or blame externals? Are they affectionate and respectful? Do they take care of their lives, or expect others to take care of them?

I once heard it said that marriage is not for the weak, the jealous, the lazy or the insecure. Obviously, weakness and insecurity will bring down any relationship, since the center will give way quickly when difficulties arise. When a being is lazy, then they cannot be a true equal with anyone else. This creates an imbalance in relations, also a major problem for a marriage, since marriage is archetypally a contract between equals.

Then there's the deadly "sin" of Jealousy. Jealousy is the ultimate deal-breaker for a marriage, or for any relationship. Jealousy is toxic, leads to very bad interactions, and is entirely the problem of the one who is jealous. No one can "make" another be jealous. Either a person is or is not jealous of their own choosing.

That said, it does not bode well for a future or current marriage if one or both flirt with other people or indulge in inappropriate or dysfunctional interpersonal behavior. A heart divided can no more stand than a house divided.

Jealousy is driven by insecurity coupled with possessiveness, and cannot be blamed on any external thing. More than once I refused to marry someone because they were jealous (for no sane reason, I might add!) Jealousy destroys trust, and it can never be "cured" by anyone or anything except the one who is jealous.

Jealousy is a dysfunctional personality disorder that cannot be blamed on any thing or person. Each has the power not to be jealous if they choose not to be jealous. No one gets over jealousy through repression. Getting over jealousy usually manifests as a relief from a personality trait that is toxic and not helpful in any way, shape, or form. It's more like setting down a horrible burden than an intellectual exercise.

Jealousy eats up a person from the inside, and I have seen it literally drive people crazy, to the point of suicide/homicide. Jealousy alone WILL break a marriage. Add violence and/or aggression, and it's a toxic mess.

Lay the groundwork for success carefully: Effective preparation and self-discipline are closely allied. Do our homework. Since most people are rarely well prepared, we will often succeed by default. When opportunity presents itself, burst out of the starting gate, sprint to the finish line, and take home the prize.

The left horizontal of the horoscopical wheel, extending from the center to the circumference, is the emergence of you from the inner planes--as an expression of the idea we call Humanity--into objectification in incarnation; the Ascendant-point is your appearance on this plane at the time of your birth.

When you emitted your first cry you were saying: "Look, World, here I AM again!" That cry was your "dawning," the Light of you appearing in the world of other human Lights as it has appeared many times in the past. The north node indicates our future and where we hope to gain knowledge, experience and skills. It is the goal we inch towards, work towards and stretch to reach. When anything from another persons chart makes strong aspects to our north node the relationship, regardless of its nature, is really about our own enactment towards our future.

The South Node

The south node is our past, things learned, understood and now safe territory. It is our karmic legacy in terms of human abilities and strengths. When planets from another persons chart make aspects to our south node it denotes a very strong past spent together or empowerment to access your own past or it highlights a need to stop a moment and reflect as something has most likely been left behind

Half Moon in Capricorn (today)

The Moon is in its waxing (growing) phase and at the half way point, or First Quarter Moon. The half Moon in Capricorn forms a square to the Sun in Libra, on its way to being full in dynamic Aries (October 3rd)! You may start to feel the force of cardinality, as these sign impel us to initiate, push into new ground.

But now, the Moon in Capricorn heightens the instinct for creating stability. The roots have to be deep and strong. For too long, the "greed is good" mentality has allowed one aspect of Capricorn -- the ends justifies the means -- to run amok. It's led to a system of exchange (credit) created out of thin air by bankers, and backed by no real value. In his book on Spiritual Astrology, Swedish astrologer writes, "If the Capricorn energy only strives upward, it becomes hollow and will eventually collapse unto itself." Many sense the precariousness of how we're living, and that it's just not sustainable. Today's Moon is conjunct to Pluto later, giving us an intuitive eye to see how to create lasting structures.

What is going to sustain you through these times of economic upheaval? I know many people who are suddenly not finding a place anymore in the old structure. Today's Moon in its square to the Sun in air sign Libra may bring alternative paths into focus. It's likely to show you where you're wasting your time or resources. It sharpens the picture of what you've got that's valuable, and how to use that to create an enduring life structure. It brings us back to our roots, the foundation, the things that last. Today's Moon gives us the courage to persevere, and invest in things that will grow over the long haul.

Saturn Opposed Uranus - 2009 - The Heart of the Storm

It's been with us for awhile, and we're now in the heart of the storm indicated by Saturn opposition Uranus. Though now separating since it was exact Sept 15, 5:30 am PDT, it's still in the zone of maximum influence. Being outer planets, it shows the general atmosphere which gets triggered by various other influences.

Just remember that we also have the Sun with Mercury retrograde in late Virgo offering their influences as well. This makes for a very complex gestalt, one of high tension, but also great for illumination through seeing and understanding things from many different angles of vision.

All of September into early October will be under this tension. Many polarizations will become evident. Many oppositional situations will manifest. It's a major face-off between the visible and invisible Law and Order, both higher and lower.

This can manifest many ways. In some circumstances, we must use Saturn positively, being wise in our "response-ability" when facing a willful, erratic Uranus. However, in other circumstances we must be the higher manifestation of Uranus to renovate the obsolete Saturn.

This is an opposition between structure and revolution, a lower law versus Higher Law, fear facing freedom, or tradition, resistance and/or fear confronting genius. It is experience patiently blocking willful folly, studied reserve facing impetuousness, understanding countering lawlessness. There are ten thousand more ways this can express, so use your understanding of what Saturn and Uranus symbolize to see how it may be happening in your world.

Though the opposition will be out of sign by late October when Saturn enters Libra, the opposition between these two giants will be very active every time a transit triggers their influence

New Moon Virgo September 18th 2009

Here's a chance to surrender to a crucible of healing, and emerge at the New Moon with a sense of wholeness. The New Moon is in Virgo, the sign that examines the pieces, and comes up with strategies that fix what's broken, heal the wounds and work off bad karma. Along with the two luminaries (Sun and Moon), Saturn and Mercury Rx are also in Virgo. These planets anchor us in the awareness of the physical, the reality of our daily lives. We can see what's really going on, and visions at this psychic time show us how to 'earth' those visions.

Time to Rest

I love the dark of the Moon, when we're pulled into the Great Mystery and can rest there. It's a time to meet the void and allow it to work its magic on us. It can awaken us to new possibilities with messages, dreams, a sense of renewal. Virgo has an earthbound quality, as a sign that is about refining what is. Saturn's presence in Virgo adds even more sobriety to the moment, and the stark reality might be hard to accept. It's a kind of "last chance" Moon, before we're swept up in the cardinality coming our way through 2010. This is our time to prepare, before being swept up in cosmic events greater than ourselves. In astrology, the planet Uranus, known as the awakener, brings sudden realizations and flashes of brilliance, which often lead to innovation, technical revolutions, and societal evolution. Like all things in this world, the planets in astrology have both positive and negative energetic expressions. Uranus' positive qualities are psychic universal conscioucness, technological innovation, uniqueness, humanism, futurism, globalism, and accepting responsibility for uplifting the collective. Uranus expresses itself negatively in uncontrolled rebelliousness, detached, independent, apathy, emotional disconnectedness, increased anxiety, rampant individualism, and violent, traumatic events.

Since 1996, Uranus' journey through Aquarius (ruled by Uranus) has doubled the speed and worldwide influence of technological development. These seven years of Uranus in Aquarius have certainly been a wild ride. We saw the widespread use of the Internet, email, cell phones, and ecommerce. We visited the surface of Mars, viewed distant galaxies and stars, mapped the human genome, successfully cloned a sheep, and built a computer chip out of individual atoms. Though the world has become a smaller place, we have also seen technology increase our sense of disconnection, inner disquiet, and disharmony.

We witnessed increasing isolationism within a climate of globalism, the Eboom and subsequent economic meltdown, and the rise of the super-rich alongside ever-increasing poverty. Genetically modified foods and designer drugs have moved us further down the road of perceiving humans, animals, and nature as machines. As access to health care has exponentially decreased, we have seen increasing rates of autism, depression, autoimmune diseases.

Pisces takes the airy, and often abstract, energy of Aquarius beyond the boundaries of the mind, allowing it to seep into the pores of our emotions. That which can only be visualized in Aquarius becomes embodied in Pisces. The external, technological Internet can become the internal, intuitive Innernet. This increased sensitivity makes compassion inevitable as hunger in Africa is felt in bellies in America.

Revolutionary Uranus in Pisces can accelerate spiritual changes by breaking down old faiths, perhaps revivifying them in radical forms, or contributing to totally new ways of expressing beliefs. Pisces is, paradoxically, the sign of everything (the last one of the zodiac, containing all the ones that came before) and nothing (experiences beyond ordinary comprehension). Answers, then, may come when we surrender the possibility of finding them in the usual terms. Uranus' 84-year tour of the zodiac that last started in Aries in 1927 is coming to an end. During the next seven years, Uranus in Pisces will flash images of the past before our eyes. We'll meet depression and war, technology as both terror and savior, humanistic hope and nationalistic fears. Each ripple in our collective waters can feel like an enormous tide of change, even when it is not. Panic spreads easily if we forget that reality is much more flexible than our perceptions lead us to believe. SATURN IN VIRGO

On September 2, 2007, Saturn entered Virgo and will remain until July 21, 2010 (with five months in Libra from October 28, 2009-April 7, 2010.)

So let's do a quick recap of what we learned or didn't learn during the last two years of Saturn in Leo. Frankly, I think as a species we failed miserably at integrating the following lessons posed by Saturn in Leo: releasing our attachment to narcissistic self-cherishing, revisioning power-over as power-with, committing to responsible leadership in government, business and education, problem-solving with creativity rather than relying upon war and hatred, kicking the oil habit, caring more for the needs of our children and elderly populace than the single-minded drive to acquire wealth, beauty, fame, and power. Unfortunately, we can't redo the "give up on self-cherishing" course for another 28 years, so we will move into Virgo, ill-equipt to cross the Leo/Virgo threshold from personal to transpersonal concerns and lessons.

Virgo marks a critical evolutionary shift from the most developed relationship with the creative self (Leo) to an initial opening up of individual consciousness into its communal/transpersonal responsibilities. Shifting the focus away from the personal (Leo) toward the transpersonal (Virgo) is a critical part of our spiritual evolution as a species.

So a word to the wise for all you "LOA" (law of attraction) devotees: having everything you want is not the goal of spiritual evolution. That is the egoistic spiritual-speak of Leo; not Virgo. Yes, it is attractive. Yes, it might even feel good to hear it and imagine it to be true. But the real secret is when we loosen our attachment to "unending wanting" we step onto the transpersonal path of real liberation and total freedom for ourselves and all other beings. Rumi embodied Virgo practicality at its best, with these lines from one of his poems,

"Don't grieve for what doesn't come.
Some things that don't happen
Keep disasters from happening."

Virgo rules science, medicine, health and healing, engineering, teaching, working for the common good, and aiding the poor and sick through research, development, and humanitarian aid programs. Virgo resonates to three main themes: greater understanding, service, and healing. All that Virgo is revolves around a desire to clearly comprehend in order to better educate, serve, heal, and problem-solve—not for self-gain—rather for the upliftment of society.

Clear comprehension requires questioning. Virgo does not take information at face value; searching ever deeper to find truth. Virgo requires discrimination, testing, and analysis to draw informed conclusions. Virgo is the ultimate engineer (work with what you've got) and a visionary scientist/researcher (seek new solutions that are as yet unfound.)

Saturn rules fear. Virgo rules clarity, discrimination, and research. At its best, these could be three years of throwing off the chains of ignorance and laziness which have kept the American public in a docile state of fear. At its worst, Virgo's penchant for self-doubt, self-criticality, and hypochondria could create conditions for fear to so fully penetrate our daily existence that the populace becomes completely inert. And we cannot afford inertia! Our survival depends upon clear comprehension of our essential interconnectedness with all things and a revolution against fear, hate, greed and separation.

Virgo rules the human body and its relationship with Earth, the planetary body we rely upon for our existence. Saturn in Virgo is a tough taskmaster when it comes to environmental issues. Saving our planet and its inhabitants from extinction will rank high on the agenda during the Saturn in Virgo years. The periods of opposition with Uranus (trauma) in Pisces (water) will hopefully stimulate great technological advances to stem the tide of global warming. If the old guard in the science world and the hierarchy in the oil world will heed the call to change, Saturn in Virgo can help strengthen the global move toward alternative energies throughout 2009 when Jupiter joins Chiron and Neptune in Aquarius.

Virgo realizes that each of us has a duty to heal ourselves by reaching out to heal others. Another real secret is when you heal the pain around you; you end up healing your own pain. The time has come for us to turn our gaze away from self and toward those less fortunate and in need of help: they are our salvation and the true path to healing our own internal suffering.

Health and healing is the domain of Virgo. Saturn wants us to get serious about seeking medical attention for symptoms or illnesses. Saturn in Virgo doesn't mess around. Saturn is the planet of mortality. It is not fond of excuses, denial, or other ways human beings find to ignore the realities that stare them in the face. This is a three year period when many people will be called to account for their excesses and continual failure to recognize how their destructive behaviors contribute to the physical and mental suffering of themselves and others.

There are many resources available to help one get healthy; even in a country like ours where making war continually takes precedence over providing health care for all citizens. Institute dietary changes, daily exercise programs, get more sleep, and learn relaxation techniques. Choose to walk instead of driving to work or to the store. Join AA, OA, NA and other support groups and get help for your own addiction while healing the addictions of others.

I do believe that Saturn in Virgo will usher in the transformation of America's dysfunctional health care system. Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune in Aquarius and many of the transits described below will have a large role in how this plays out; for better or for worse.

Such terms are similar to how individuals with spiritual sight describe the aura. From this intuitive nature, we form impressions and experience emotions and feelings regarding them and ourselves. Psychology, Eastern therapy, and complementary medicine have terms for life as energy. AWAKENING SAGITTARIUS

SYMBOLOGY OF SAGITTARIUS

The Centaur, half horse, half man is [one] of the most ancient symbol of Sagittarius. More recently, Sagittarius is represented as an Archer or Knight in shining armor on a white horse. The arrow is the astrological glyph or symbol.

These three symbols embody three levels of consciousness of Sagittarius energy. We have defined these in previous newsletters as personality-centered or ASLEEP, (2) awakening to the Soul-personality relationship or AWAKENING and (3) Soul-centered or AWAKE.

Sagittarius is a very human sign who struggles to free itself from, and at the same time integrate its mind with, its body and its instinctual desires. In the end, Sag must embody and embrace its human animal nature. For as the symbol of the Centaur makes very clear, the body and animal nature of the beast is an integral part of Centaur's identity.

The Centaur is bound to the Earth from which it also gets its power. Sag inherently knows there is always more. Sag is always on a mission to experience a more expansive
spiritual reality and complete self-identity.

The Knight or Archer represents awakening Sag. The Knight is riding the horse, i.e. the Knight is in control of its animal nature. It knows the difference between its instincts and its mind. The Knight with the drawn bow and arrow is the one-pointed disciple of the Truth.

The bow and arrow represent awakened Sag. The arrow is a metaphor for the clear shaft of Light that is released through the third eye of the initiate who has brought his or her mind to the point of neutrality beyond the negative and positive swings of the duality of the rational mind.

As stated above, the territory of Sag is the higher mind. Its real quest is to reach the state of consciousness where it experiences the Light in the mind.

For it is this Light that expands its awareness. It is the Light of Spirit that opens it to the Truth, reveals its path, orients its aim, and leads on its destiny path.

SAGITTARIUS SEEKS THE LIGHT OF CONSCIOUSNESS

Sagittarius seeks consciousness. Sag's burning desire is first to see and then to be lead by the Light. For it is the Light of consciousness that will reveal its purpose and its destiny path. With a clear vision of its goal, it can orient its energy to achieving its lofty objectives.

Sag's quest is to discover its purpose in life. Yet to know one's purpose is not a simplistic task. To discover one's purpose requires preparation.

Sag must first acquire a new vision of itself. Sag must first resolve its inherent animal-human duality. Sag must integrate its instinctual and spiritual selves. Because the two aspects of self are fused or attached, integration and connection are the only way to transcend this inherent duality.

For Sag this integration must be directed by the mind. The untamed desire nature of asleep Sag controls and uses the mind for its own ends.

Asleep Sag cannot tell the difference between or define the relationship between its desire animal nature and its mind. Awakening Sag must train its mind to tune into, listen to and eventually be lead by its instincts.

In an asleep personality, the instincts present themselves as
insatiable lower desires that must be refrained or at least contained. Sag must transcend this interpretation by direct experience of the nature of its own energies.

Sag must discover that the fire of its passion is but a denser
version of the fire of Light in the mind. When this connection is
actually experienced, the denser earthly energy serves as a source of energy that connects the body with the mind, releases the mind into the Light, and provides a source of vital energy that engages the body to serve a higher purpose as defined by the higher mind.

Each Mercury Retrograde period is unique, yet related to other Mercury RX periods, usually because the signs are harmonized with those of past Mercury retrogrades. In 2009, We've had Mercury in Airy Aquarius retrograding back to Earthy Capricorn, in Airy Gemini moving back to Earthy Taurus, and this one beginning in Airy Libra moving back to Earthy Virgo. What does that hold for all of us?

This Mercury retrograde started 9:45 pm PDT September 6, 2009 (5:45 am Greenwich, Sept. 7) and ends 6:14 am PDT Sept. 29. This retrograde moves from 7 degrees Libra back to 22 Virgo, with the inferior conjunction of Mercury and the Sun occurring at 28 Virgo at 3:05 am PDT Sept. 20, 11:05 am Greenwich.

Air represents ideas and ideals, relationships and other types of connections, Earth represents grounding, practicality, and "real world" activities. All of the 2009 Mercury retrogrades indicate a time of anchoring ideals in whatever forms are appropriate and workable.

In Virgo we are educated, trained, and refine whatever we must so that some "perfect form" can come forth in Libra. This RX period will give us a chance to rework and refine some things that have recently come forth, making them even better so that whatever is crystalized by Saturn in Libra is "more perfect" than what we've perceived up to now.

This Mercury retrograde begins at 7 Libra, and retraces ground we experienced August 17 through September 6. The degree is "A woman feeding chickens and protecting them from hawks," symbolizing "control of natural forces by the higher intelligence," and "taming the strong, uplifting the weak."

This degree is about "the need to face the antagonism of 'powers of darkness' as one attempts to feed the mind of as yet helpless and frightened apprentices." So this degree deal with a form of spiritual protection of innocents and "guardianship."

This is a degree of accepting karmic consequences of success and failure for spiritual energies set into motion before now. It contrasts creative consciousness with the results that follow, as well as "future oriented actualizers of an ideal" needing to survive the dramas or attacks of "tradition worshiping minds" following automatic responses.

This falls in the Span of Expectation, and is the counterpoint degree in the Emotional-Social level of Transfiguration. It symbolizes the need to figure out what needs protecting and uplifting in the previously held ideals that presented themselves in the sixth degree of Libra.

According to the Sabian Symbols, it is a degree of "the creative division of labor between... man and nature," and the Soul's dual function of conservation and development. This is a "capacity for a control of events through a nurturing of the things which are desirable and a rejection of those which have no immediate value."

Its formula is Manipulating, Critical, Ingenious, Specializing, Social and Sensitive. He offers the keyword SHREWDNESS, and says it's a degree of "high competence in administering the duties of normal experience and a very special skill in protecting the self's real interests."

Mars activates and accelerates the pace of events in our lives. People currently going through dynamic activity, a hectic fast-paced period, or having the hardest time in early September affected during the next 8 weeks.

If you were born in these zones, focus on what constitutes responsible action, given these periods show more highly agitated energy than usual.

This Full Moon falls at 13 degrees Pisces-Virgo which will fulfill the seed of the past New Moon in Leo. This symbolizes the ability to become a symbol of courage that certifies our Spiritual worth.
